The Henry & Nancy Ivy Memorial Education Scholarship
Purpose
To empower and equip college-enrolled women in their sophomore or junior year who are successfully pursuing an education.
Scholarship Background
This scholarship was created as a memorial to our parents, Henry and Nancy Ivy. They instilled the value of an education in us for as long as we can recall. They groomed us without having a daily conversation about education. We grew into strong young women with education as one of our primary goals in life. They demonstrated how important it was to love others, have a positive attitude, and treat people with kindness. We grew up in church where our love for Christ and education were nurtured by not only our parents but by countless others who cared about our future. So now, without hesitation we are paying it forward in support of the women who come behind us successfully pursuing an education to impact and change the world.
Scholarship Description
The Henry & Nancy Ivy Memorial Educational Scholarship provides one-time educational assistance for women in their sophomore or junior year of college (with 30 credit hours or more) for up to $1,000. This scholarship is not for tuition, but rather expenses beyond the classroom and can include assistance for needs including but not exclusive to: educational conferences, instructional programs, graduate exam application fees, or textbooks.

Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a woman, who is in her sophomore or junior in college with 30 credit hours or more
- College enrollment as a full-time student
- Has a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out 0f 4.0) or 4.0 (out of 5.0)
- Provide an official copy of transcript (send to contact address listed above)
Application Requirements
- Complete the Henry & Nancy Ivy Educational Scholarship Application (Online)
- Two Current Letters of Recommendations Signed and Dated (one from a college professor/instructor; and one from a pastor or clergy member)
- Complete applications must be submitted with all required elements marked as "Received" by the deadline, July 1, 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Video Essay
Upload a "Video Essay" in the scholarship application (video should be no longer than 4-6 minutes).
